Free Storage Facility for our Furniture Courier Service Customers

e-Van Transportation has up to 10 cubic metres free storage space to facilitate customers of our furniture courier service. There is no charge for storing furniture that we collect for our customers who are availing of our furniture courier service. We provide free storage of the furniture to allow us to combine your delivery with other items going the same way, in order to offer you a great price for transport of a single item or just a few items of furniture, equipment or goods that need to be transported a long distance.

Storage of Furniture in Dublin

If you’re buying something on Done Deal, Adverts, Buy and Sell or Gumtree etc, and the location of the seller is in another county that is a far away from you, you’ll need the item/s that you want to buy to be transported a long distance. Under normal circumstances, it would generally be prohibitively expensive to tranport just one item or a few items
a long distance, if it were to be done as a standalone job, given the cost of fuel, tolls and the driver’s time. And in order to have several items going the same way on any given day, a company would usually have to be doing a very high volume of moves all over the country every day.

However, we have an alternative solution that involves free short-term storage in our Dublin storage facility, so that we can consolidate various requests into one delivery. We can collect your item one day, store it for a few days until a suitable match comes in, i.e. another request for a delivery to the same location or to another location nearby. Or another move where your location would be on the way, or where we would be coming back empty from another delivery and can take your items back with us then.

By doing this, we can keep the price we charge you for tranport of your item/s to the minimum level possible.

Most of our collections of furniture for our furniture courier service are brought to our storage facility in Dublin using one of our average large vans, such as a Ford Transit (long wheelbase, medium-high roof), or similar. Storage is free for customers of our furniture courier service, which is for low-cost, long-distance transport of one item or a few items of furniture, equipment or goods.

Short-Term Storage Solution

For customers not availing of our long-distance furniture courier service we also have a chargeable solution. We can offer short-term storage in Dublin for people who need to move out of their home one day, but their new home will not be ready to move into until the following day or for a few days. Please note that the max capacity of our storage unit is equal to the max capacity of the Ford Transit Van pictured here, and the amount of storage space we have left is subject to availability at any given time. We can charge a daily rate of €20 ex-VAT per day, which reduces to €50 ex-VAT per week once it goes past one week.
